The executive Chairman of ORILE-AGEGE LCDA was in a sober mood today as he visits community where a 4years old boy was washed away by flood yesterday in the Local Council development Area. The honourable Councillor representing ORILE-AGEGE WARD C. Hon. Otunba Ishola Ibrahim Obanla also joined the Executive Chairman during the inspection and search for the missing boy, he appreciates the executive chairman and members of the community for the swift response and collective responsibility to ensure that the missing boy is recovered and also make effort to avoid future occurrence.
The residents of the area have vowed to continue their search until the body of the boy is recovered.
Agegetv Agege gathered that the victim identified as….. was playing outside of his residence during yesterdays heavy down pour when one of his footwear mistakenly fell into a flooded drainage system, in his bid to recover his footwear he jumped into the gutter unknown to him that danger awaits him as the move eventually becomes a Journey of no return.
The entire Community and his parent have been thrown into shock and sadness over the sorrowful event. As at the time of filing this report the boys body is yet to be recovered. The executive chairman has warned parents to always keep an eye on their wards and also desist from indiscriminate dumping of refuse at unauthorized places.
