Succor came the way of some widows in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State recently, as Hon. Olateju Adeoye, a chairmanship aspirant, reached out to them with food items.
The relief materials were received by Prince Adewale Bello, Ojokoro APC party chairman, during a programme held at Ojokoro APC party Secretariat, Bola Ahmed Tinubu road, Jankara Ijaiye, Lagos State.
Prince Adewale, who was accompanied by some APC Party executive members of the local government area and wards chairmen in Ojokoro LCDA, received the food items.
Speaking during the presentation of food Palliatives, Hon. Olateju said he was moved to donate the relief materials to the widows taking into consideration the sufferings and Challenges faced by the widows.
“I’m aware of the plight of the widows in Ojokoro LCDA and as such, I have been moved to dole out these food items to cushion the hardship biting hard on them,” he said.
He, however, noted that his philanthropic act has nothing to do with his political ambition, but about rendering service to humanity and putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged in our contemporary society, while promising to continue to help the needy.
” I will always continue to support the needy and put smiles on the faces of residents in Ojokoro Lcda always, because that’s the best way we can take our people out of Poverty”, he said.
