Egunjobi commissions eleven new boreholes in Agege

The Executive Chairman, Agege Local Government, Alh. Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi has commissioned eleven new boreholes and generators to power them for the use of the area’s residents and business operators.
The eleven boreholes, which were built by the council, will deliver 30, 000 litres per day.
Commissioning the projects simultaneously across the seven wards on Friday, Egunjobi who was represented at the venues by the Council’s councillors said in his speech that the provisions are in line with his administration’s policy to meet the needs of Agege residents and their business operator counterparts.

The council chief enjoined the people of the area to take proper care of the boreholes, avoid wastage and any act capable of reducing the facilities’ lifespans.

He said, “Am committed to improve Agege’s infrastructure and today have stayed true to that commitment. With these projects, thousands of people will have access to safe drinking water. The belief that government properties belong to no one is erroneous. I urge you to protect them from vandals and report suspicious movement around it.”
