The operatives of the Lagos State Task Force arrested 7 notorious miscreants including a cult leader over an attack on officers of the Agency.
The Chairman of the Agency, CSP Yinka Egbeyemi disclosed that the enforcement operations around Mile 12 today was carried out to get rid of cultists and miscreants disturbing innocent members of tne public around Mile 12 area.
CSP Egbeyemi disclosed further that the Agency acted on series of ‘Save our Soul messages at Mile 12’ and petitions submitted to his office by residents of Mile 12 and its environs.
Agegetv Agege reliably gathered that, “During the attack an officer of the Agency (Sergeant Damilola Adeojo) was seriously injured with Cutlasses and broken bottles and he is presently receiving treatment and under going series of medical tests at LASUTH”
He stressed further that no responsible and responsive government would tolerate miscreants and cultists disturbing innocent residents at any parts of the State.
“Enough of these killings by cultists and miscreants across the State particularly around Mile 12, Bariga, Somolu and Lagos Island”
The Chairman however confirmed that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police CP Zubairu Muazu has directed that all those arrested be charge to court for prosecution.
One of the arrested miscreant Mr. Ojo Opeyemi claimed they were given cultlesses and broken bottles by their group leader at ‘Akani-modo’ to attack the team of the Task Force.
